  • Peggy Thoma, at her Piqua home, looks at a Nativity Scene made by her father, using the wooden box that he used to ship things home from Korea. Thoma says that, "each neighbor on the street then bought a figure to furnish the complete manger."

The star, 16" inches tall, and around 100 years old, was high on the south side of the barn, and she says, "when the farm was sold my Dad rescued the star.  One of the tips was broken off, but he made a new piece for it, making it even more special."
