He lives in the neighborhood, and comes over to fish, "every now and then."  Anything he does catch, he says, he'll throw back, as this is just for fun, not food.

  • Don Peters "lives south," but works at Sinclair Community College, and today found one of the paths that he walks along is under water in downtown Dayton, Wednesday, June 4, 2008.  He's standing next to the Third Street (Peace) bridge, and the area approximately where the brown fence is marks where the bike/walkway would normally be.  Peters says, "I love walking," noting that he's been putting in at least an hour per day for the last year, and has come back from the brink of being diabetic by dropping his blood sugar from 129 to 110, and losing 30 pounds in the year he's been walking.  Since the walking was the major change he's made, he gives the daily strolls all the credit.
